Northshore Swim is a swimming facility dedicated to teaching individuals the fundamentals of swimming and water safety while instilling a love for the sport. What makes Northshore Swim different from other swim schools?

Small Class Size

We have the lowest student/instructor on the Northshore! Only 2 swimmers per instructor in a class.

Kid-Friendly

The entire facility is designed to enhance the learning, fun, and safety for every swimmer at Northshore Swim.  We have brightly colored, kid-friendly decor throughout our aquatic environment, and we play children’s music to help further engage your child. We provide goggles, kickboards, and water toys to enhance instruction and motivation.

Experienced Staff

Owned and operated by the most experienced and educated swim instructor on the Northshore with multiple endorsements, certification, and accreditations earned both domestically and internationally.

Heated Pool

Our pool is always heated to 90 degrees! During the hot Louisiana summer, the pool is cooled down by a built-in waterfall and during the cooler months, the pool is enclosed in an air-filled dome.

Amenities for Parents

Parents are welcome to stay and watch at one of the several umbrella-covered tables or watch from the air-conditioned pool house where there is a restroom and changing area. We also have free WiFi access.

Cleanest Facilities

We are the only commercial pool on the Northshore with a Solar Eclipse Del Ozone with UV Sanitation System. This system safely kills bacteria, viruses, algae, mold, and mildew, including Cryptosporidium parvum.  With this system, the pool can operate with much lower chlorine levels and is even more protected than normal overly chlorinated pools! That means less eye, skin, and respiratory irritation for your child.

“I'm a adult and didn't know how to swim. I went from being fearful and panicky to being able to swim laps. I went for 14 week course. The instructor gave me helpful tips to practice and I would practice on the weekends. Each week, I got a little bit better. Progress was slow for me, but the instructor helped me get over each hurdle: exhaling underwater, kicking properly, timing, strokes, etc.”

“I started my baby at six months old and this experience has been great! My main goal has been accomplished which is for him not to be afraid of water, in fact, he loves it! By six months later, my little dude can float on his back just about by himself, he can also go underwater kicking and paddling without fear. He's also learned how to swim to the edge and hold on.
