Facility (1)-1.png

We hire the most dedicated and compassionate instructors who are driven to help every swimmer succeed. Our instructors are proficient swimmers themselves who are passionately involved in the sport. They are knowledgeable in all areas of what is needed to go from basic skills to full proficiency, and they receive extensive training before teaching any swim course. They are nurturing, patient, and positively reinforce and engage with each child to make it a constructive experience all around. They focus on educating the whole child so the swimmer will reap the physical, mental, and emotional benefits from learning how to swim.

All the instructors at Northshore Swim receive extensive training in the winter months to ensure they have the proper experience and skills needed. Our goal is to hire the most skilled instructors in the area who have the ability to gently encourage and nurture swimmers as they develop their skill set.

All instructors have:

  • Completed 40 hours of training with a WSI instructor or Miss Gitte.

  • Underwent 40 additional hours of training in the pool with different age groups before they hold their own class.

  • Completed the Infant Toddler Online Course.

  • Are CPR certified.
